摘 要

翻译是文化内部与文化内部之间的交流, 翻译等值就是原语与译语在文化功能上的等值，这是文化翻译观的主要思想。
本文以文化翻译观为基础，以马克·吐温短篇小说《百万英镑》和潘华凌译者的译文为语料，并对译者的译文与原文进行对比和分析，旨在研究如何运用文化翻译观指导小说中的修辞翻译，在保证再现原文修辞效果的基础上，又能很好的为读者所接受。研究发现:1)对于修辞手法的翻译。由于文化的差异，翻译过的中文很难完整地再现原文的修辞效果，但要在最大程度上保留这种修辞效果。2)对于几种常见翻译手法的运用。在处理文化差异较小的排比和明喻的修辞手法时，可以直接采取增译和分句的方法。在处理像夸张这种具有文化内涵的修辞手法时，就要采用意译的方法。本研究的意义在于通过对原文和译文的分析对比，总结出更贴切的修辞翻译方法，对以后在修辞翻译上的研究具有一定的借鉴作用。

Abstract

Translation is the exchange between culture and culture,and translation equivalence is the equivalent of source language and target language in cultural function, which is the main idea of cultural translation view.

Based on the view of cultural translation,this paper takes Mark Twain’s short story“The Million Bank Note” and Pan Hualing’s translation as the corpus, and compares and analyzes the translator’s translation with the original text. On the basis of ensuring the reproduction of the rhetorical effect of the original text, it can be well accepted by the reader. The study finds out that :1) translation of rhetorical devices.Due to cultural differences, it is difficult to complete the rhetorical effect of translated Chinese in the present original text, but to retain this rhetorical effect to the greatest extent. 2) the use of several common translation techniques.In dealing with the rhetorical devices of parallelism and simile with little cultural difference, we can directly adopt the method of adding translation and clause. In dealing with rhetorical devices with cultural connotations such as exaggeration, we should adopt the method of free translation. The significance of this study is to sum up more reasonable rhetorical translation methods over the analysis and comparison of the original text and the translation,so that they can be used for reference in the future study of rhetorical translation.
