On the Comparison between Coffee Culture and Tea Culture

Abstract

With the rapid development of economic globalization,cross-culture communication is becoming increasingly frequent. There are various obstacles between people of different cultural backgrounds.Thus, it is extremely necessary for us to know about thedifferences between Chinese culture and Western culture. China is the birthplace of tea culture,and tea has played an important role inpeople’s daily life since ancient times; But for westerners, the importance of coffee is as good as the significance of tea to Chinese people. Tea and coffee, representative drinks of China and the West,are considered as one of the representatives of Chinese culture and Western culture. Besides, the freshness and elegance of tea and the aroma and richness of coffee make them have their features and charm respectively. This thesis mainly introduce the origins and development of tea culture and coffee culture and give the comparison and analysis to know about their differences and reasons. Making deep study on tea and coffee,so as to better understand Chinese culture and Western culture and promote better and faster integration of Chinese culture and Western culture.
