| An Analysis of Film Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Skopos Theory : A Case Study of Pride and Prejudice Abstract: In this paper, we examined how the objective theory influenced the movie subtitle translation. It is a movie mainly translated English into Chinese. The objective theory is a bifurcation theory of functionalism theory. The movie subtitle translations affect the time, space, and the direction and purpose of the film of directors, and the movie translations of the audience. The first chapter of this paper introduces the significance of the research, the second chapter introduces the difference of the movie subtitle translation in the domestic and foreign countries, the third chapter introduces the basic concept of the purpose theory, the fourth chapter is the main part of this article, analyzes the purpose theory, and the application of the movie subtitle translation, and the fifth chapter summarizes the full text.
