| Application0fFunctionalEquivalenceTheoryinBusinessLetters Abstract This paper briefly introduces Nida’s functional equivalence theory, and analyzes the language function of business letters , in order to prove that functional equivalence theory can be applied in business letter translation, and further illustrate by using a large number of example sentences. This paper proves that the functional equivalence theory can not only be applied but also can guide the translation of business letters.
