摘要

格洛丽亚•内勒是20世纪杰出的非裔美国女性作家,她的创作风格上继承了美国传统黑人小说的特色,主要内容是传播黑人文化向世人展现了真实的黑人生活,使其作品作品得到文学界的广泛肯定。她的第三部小说《戴妈妈》使她快速出名,而这真正意义上的加强了她在非裔美国文学上的地位。
在种族歧视和男权至上的社会中,黑人母亲形象自古以来都是传统的形象。她们都是孕育儿女,为家庭付出,往往处在社会底层的地位。作品《戴妈妈》中,作者打破黑人母亲的传统形象,颠覆了人们的观念,重新塑造了一些拥有新形象的黑人女性。随着黑人女性的文化不断发展,她们开始意识到重新创造自己形象的重要性。所以她们开始挑战美国白人的主流思想,不断的更新和创造自己的价值与地位。本文则重点分析其中有代表性的黑人女性的新形象,作品中作者打破传统黑人母亲被支配的保姆,妓女等形象。这个作品颠覆了人们心中黑人母亲的地位。

Abstract

Gloria Naylor is an outstanding African American female writer in the 20th century.Her writing style inherits the characteristics of American traditional negro novels,and the main content is to spread black culture and show the real negro life to the world. Her works have been widely recognized by the literary circles.Her third novel, Mama Day, made her an instant celebrity,and it really strengthened her standing in African American literature.
In the society of racial discrimination and male supremacy,the images of African American mothers has been the traditional image since ancient times. They are all pregnant and devoted to their families,often in the position of the bottom of the society. In the work Mama Day, the author breaks the traditional images of African American mothers, subverts people's ideas, and reshapes some African American mothers with new images. As African American female culture evolved,they began to realize the importance of reinventing themselves. Therefore, they began to challenge the mainstream ideas of American white people, constantly updating and creating their own values and status. This paper focuses on the analysis of the representative of the new image of black women,the author breaks the traditional black mother dominated by nannies, prostitutes and other images. This work upends the status of African American mothers in people's minds.
