Research on the Combination of Task-based language Method and Translation-based Method in High School English Short Reading Teaching

Abstract

Task-based method and translation-based method are very commonteaching methods in current English teaching in high schools. But the usual method of use is to use it alone.As a result, it has caused problems such as boring high school Englishclasses, low student interest in learning, and low teaching efficiency. The use of diversified teaching methods can combine task teaching method and translation teachingmethod, effectively overcome the common problems of high school students in English reading,improve students' reading ability, enhance learning interest, and achieve good teaching results.

This article aims to explore the effective way of combining task teaching method and grammar translation method and the teaching effect that can be achieved in the teaching process of short English articles reading in high school.
