纽马克理论视角下对《经济学人》商务新闻翻译的分析【英文】

摘要


随着全球经济一体化和互联网的迅猛发展,商务新闻正成为人们日常生活中不可缺少的一部分。商务新闻不仅告诉我们世界经济的发展趋势,而且有助于我们更好地了解世界经济的新发展、新变化。同时,社会对商务新闻的翻译在数量和质量上也提出了更高的要求。

《经济学人》作为全球性的政治商业报刊杂志,以其独到的视角、深入的分析、渾利而又幽默的文笔和鲜明的立场,给世界各地的读者提供了开阔视野的平台,同时也得到了众多商界学者的认可和赞赏。

本报告以纽马克语义翻译和交际翻译理论为指导,选取《经济学人》部分商务新闻为研究对象,在总结商务新闻翻译具有准确性、可读性、生动性等特点基础上,探究商务新闻的翻译策略,总结出纽马克语义翻译和交际翻译理论对商务新闻的翻译具有理论指导意义,为今后从事商务新闻翻译的译者提供一些借鉴和参考。

Abstract

With the rapid development of global economic integration and Internet,business news is becoming an indispensable part of people’s daily life. Business news not only tells us the development trend of the world economy,but also helps us better understand the new development and changes of the world economy. At the same time, the society puts forward higher requirementson the quantity and quality of business news translation.

As a global political and business journal, The Economist,with its unique perspective, in-depth analysis,humorous writing style and distinct position,has provided readers all over the world with a platform to broaden their horizons, and has also been recognized and appreciated by many business scholars.

Guided by Newmark’s semantic translation and communicative translation theory,this paper selects business news in The Economist as the research object,explores the translation strategies of business news on the basis of summarizing the features of fidelity,readability and vividness of business news translation, and concludes that Newmark’s semantic translation and communicative translation theory have theoretical significance for the translation of business news. And the author wishes to provide some reference for translators engaged in business news translation in the future.
