| 论爱伦·坡短篇小说中的死亡之美 Abstract Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) is a famous American poet, novelist and literary critic.As one of the most controversial literary giants inAmerican history, Allan Poe's life is full of legend. In Allan Poe's works, whether in novels or poems,the theme of death is ubiquitous,almost everywhere filled with the breath of death, as if his preference for death had reached a degree of paranoia. This paper mainly adopts the method of causal analysis,literature review and other research methods,through the recent research of Poe's works athome and abroad, the causes of Poe's aesthetic formation and the unique “Death of Beauty” three aspects to make a systematic and in-depth analysis and research on the aesthetics of death in Poe's literary works.
