| On the Chinese Translation of Subtitles of MuLan from the Perspective of Skopos Theory Abstract: Translation Skopos Theory is originated in the late 1970s.This article focuses on the role of the Skopos Theory tothe Disney film MuLan on Chinese translation of subtitles. It discussed that the function of Skopos Theory in the aspect offilm subtitle translation, this paper takes MuLan as an example. The aim of the paper is that explain the three instructive principlrs of Skopos Theory (1) The principle of purpose (2) The principle of coherence (3) The principle of fidelity,through taking some characteristic subtitles in MuLan to do some sorting try to state the three rules of Skopos Theory how to instruct the Chinese translation of subtitle of MuLan, during the process of analysis, it is also will take the features of subtitles translation into consideration to do a logical combination for the final conclusion. then in this way, this paper draw a conclusion that the Skopos Theory which is providebenificial reference for the film MuLan subtitle translation,and the three rules of Skopos theory can be a basic structure to do the subtitles translation of the film.
