Study on Catalytic Oxidation of Toluene with Noble Metal Mesoporous Molecular Sieve MCM-48

Abstract:
The pollution caused by volatile organiccompounds (VOCs) is becoming more and more serious. At present, catalytic oxidation is an effective method to remove VOCs.Precious metals are commonly used as active components of catalysts due to their excellent activity, while mesoporous molecular sieve MCM-48 is an excellent carrier of catalysts due to its excellent three-dimensional pore structure and high specific surface area. Pt supported on MCM-48 is a feasible choice.In this paper, MCM-48 molecular sieve was synthesized,and a series of 1wt% Pt/MCM-48 with different ammonia dosage were synthesized by in situ synthesis method. The toluene removal performance of different samples was compared,and the catalytic performance of the samples before and after hydrogen reduction was compared. The samples were characterized by SEM, TEM and BET.The results showed that the sample with 13.8g ammonia water had the best removal effect on toluene,and the removal effect of hydrogen reduced sample was better than that of the unreduced sample.
