| 阿甘正传语言特色 Abstract People who live in languages, the way people think and behave are influenced by language. The language is generally metaphorical. The film "Forrest Gump" in the conversation, as a special reason for the growth environment of Forrest Gandhi IQ and children, formed a unique perspective of non-metaphoric language. The object of this paper is the characteristics of the American film culture in American movies. By means of the analysis of classic films, the author attempts to make readers have a simple understanding of the significance of the film in order to preferably use the film as an instrument for English learning. It is generally acknowledged that “One cannot truly master the language of a country if he does not know his own culture”, and the same is such in English learning. Seeing films must be the best valid method to study Western civilization. More than everything else the film line, they linked up the film with the audience. They are just as a mirror and their culture of the people of the country. At present, U.S. English is the most cross-sectional of the English-speaking world. The U.S. film industry is the most mature over the world. Therefore, the study of U.S. movie language can greatly helped English learning. This article has five chapters. The first chapter introduces the theory that I use in my dissertation and the excuse I selective this dissertation. In Chapter 2, I’m going to analyze the linguistic features of film lines. The third chapter analyzes the role of film lines in shaping the character image. The fourth chapter as regard how the film line reflects the national individuality of the United States. The fifth chapter is the peroration. I want to put forward my opinions and suggestions and provide tips for English learning from films.
