跨文化交际中非语言行为分析研究 A Brief Analysis on Nonverbal Behaviour in Cross-cultural Communication Abstract With the continuous development of China’s economy and the degree of openness to the outside world increasing, cross-cultural communication has also shown a diversified development trend. Since the cultural backgrounds, living customs, and educational backgrounds of different countries are all different, there are great differences in communication between China and the West both in language communication and nonverbal communication. Nonverbal communication is a relatively important and commonly used communication method in cross-cultural communication. It can not only deliver rich information, but also can play a role as supplementing, adjusting, repeating and substituting in language communication. It shows that nonverbal behavior plays a very important role in cross-cultural communication, but a series of conflicts and contradictions also appear under different cultural backgrounds. This has become the significance of research by experts and scholars from various countries. This article analyzes a large amount of literature on nonverbal behaviors in cross-cultural communication and combines nonverbal behavioral theoretical knowledge with nonverbal behaviors in cross-cultural communication from body language, paralanguage, object language, and environmental language. In this aspect, the author discusses the characteristics of nonverbal behaviors in cross-cultural communication, and finally analyzes the repeating and accenting, contradicting and substituting, regulating and complementing effects of non-verbal behaviors in cross-cultural communication. The features and functions of nonverbal behavior are also demonstrated through some cases. Through the analysis of cross-cultural non-linguistic behaviors in this article, it is hoped that some simple suggestions can be provided for future exchanges, trade, cooperation, and communication between China and foreign countries, so as to promote the healthy development of cross-cultural communication between China and foreign countries.
