| A Study on Different Family Relationships Based on Kinship Terms in Different Cultures ——Case of Chinese and English Kinship Terms Abstract: kinship terms have emerged with human civilization for thousands of years. It not only shows respect to others, but also indicates the relationship between family members and relatives. The thesis of this paper is by referring to relevant literatures and cases to analyze the contents of kinship terms in both Chinese and English languages and the rules of use to further explore the family relationships in two different language cultures. The author also puts forward her own suggestions on the differences of family relationship, hoping to promote communication between different languages and cultures in cross-cultural background. Key Words: Kinship Terms; Difference; Family Relationship 摘要：亲属称谓伴随着人类文明的出现已有几千年。它不但表达了对他人的尊重，而且表明了亲属之间的关系。本文借鉴相关文献以及案例，通过分析中英文两种语言里亲属称谓的内容及其使用规则进一步探究两种不同语言文化背景下的家庭关系，并针对这种家庭关系差异提出自己的建议，以期在跨文化背景下促进不同语言文化更好的交流。 关键词:亲属称谓 差异 家庭关系 |
