The Influence of Immersion English on English Teaching

Abstract
 
Immersion teaching is a bilingual teaching mode in which teaching is conducted using a second language (or foreign language) as a teaching language. This model enables the development of a traditional, isolated foreign language teaching model that effectively integrates foreign language and knowledge in different disciplines, and provides a rich language environment for students to learn and use a second language (or foreign language).English immersion teaching provides a new perspective and learning approach for the teaching of foreign language teaching in China as well as the cultivation of bilingual talents. It is in line with students’ cognitive principles. Second language learning should be direct learning. At the same time as acquiring cognitive development, it should develop language skills. English immersion teaching enables students to improve their chances of getting in touch with English. The enthusiasm and initiative can be brought into full play. This will help cultivate students' ability to use English thinking and effectively promote the overall development of students' cultural quality and personality.On the basis of summarizing the development status of immersion education, the basic principles of the teaching model are summed up, and the background, basic situation, existing problems and educational implications of China's immersion foreign language teaching research are discussed.
