基于批判性阅读策略的高中英语阅读教学的行动研究【英文】 Abstract English is one of the main international languages in the world. There are more than 70% of the world's e-mails are written or addressed in English and most of the scientific and technological materials in the world are published in English. To master English reading is to master almost the world’s information. In our country, English reading teaching is becoming prominent as it is mentioned in the 2017 Edition of English Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools, five fundamental skills--listening, speaking, reading, writing and viewing should be cultivated comprehensively through English teaching. Among these five fundamental skills, English reading is the main channel of inputting knowledge and information. Little output, such as listening, speaking, writing would be fostered without English reading. What’s more, what deserves to be mentioned is that a new writing test type is added into the 2021 Guangdong New English College Entrance Examination after Whole Nation’s College Entrance Examination Reform of 2020, which requires students to understand the given passage to continue the continuation writing. Likewise, little writing output would be done without reading comprehension ability. Critical Reading Strategy is a helpful English reading teaching. Scholars abroad and domestic have been verified that it can help students form an English reading framework and degrade the reading difficulty level. However, Critical Reading Strategy is seldom applied in our country’s senior high school’s English reading teaching. Therefore, it is significant to apply Critical Reading Strategies to English reading in advance rather than to teach them in University. Hence, in this thesis, the author adopts two rounds of action research to explore whether senior high school’s English reading teaching based on Critical Reading Strategy improves students' English reading interest and English reading ability (ERA). This thesis aims at exploring two questions: 1)Can the critical reading strategies enhance senior high school English reading ? 2) Can the Critical Reading Strategies-based teaching of English reading improve senior high school English reading ability? In this study, the author selects the participant of Class 13 Senior Three in Zijin Senior High School to perform two rounds of action research for 3 months. From the pre-test and pre-questionnaire, problems were found: most of the students in English reading class are in negative reading pattern, lacking reading interest and waiting for the teachers’ instructions without little initiative. This paper will apply Critical Reading Strategy to English reading teaching to explore its effect. This paper finds that through the application of CRS in English reading class, both students' interest in English reading and English reading ability is improved, which shows that it is applicable to apply CRS in English reading class. Key words: Critical Reading Strategy; High School English Reading; English Reading Ability 摘 要 英语作为世界上主要的国际语言之一,世界上70%以上的电子邮件是用英语编写或发送的,且世界上大部分科技资料都是用英语出版的。可以说掌握好英语阅读就几乎掌握了世界的大部分信息。在我国,英语阅读教学也日益重视,2017版的《普通高中英语课程标准》提出,要通过英语教学全面培养学生的听、说、读、写、看五项基本技能。在这五项基本技能中,英语阅读是知识输入和信息获取的主要渠道,如果没有英语阅读作为输入,听、说、写等输出就很难得到培养。更值得一提的是,在2020年全国高考改革后的2021年广东新高考英语中增设了一种新的写作测试类型--读后续写,它的能力要求是要求学生在理解好给定文本的基础上进行故事的续写,否则,学生就无法续写好。同理,没有阅读理解能力的话就不能形成有良好的英语写作等输出能力。 批判性阅读策略是一种有效的英语阅读教学方法。国内外学者已经证实批判性阅读策略应用于英语阅读中可以帮助学生形成英语阅读的框架及降低英语阅读的难度。然而,批判性阅读策略在我国高中英语阅读教学的应用却很少。 因此,将批判性阅读策略应用于高中英语阅读教学而不是在大学里才进行教学具有重要的现实意义。因此,本文采用两轮的行动研究,探讨基于批判性阅读策略的高中英语阅读教学能否提高学生的英语阅读兴趣和英语阅读能力。 本文旨在探讨两个问题: 1) 批判性阅读策略能否提高高中生的英语阅读兴趣? 2) 基于批判性阅读策略的英语阅读教学能否提高高中生的英语阅读能力? 本研究选取紫金中学高三13班的学生作为研究对象,对他们进行为期3个月的两轮行动研究。通过前测和前问卷调查发现:在英语阅读课上,学生们大多处于消极的阅读状态,对英语阅读课缺乏兴趣,缺乏阅读的主动性,基本都是等着老师做出指令和等待老师对阅读内容作出解释。所以,本文将批判性阅读策略运用到高中英语阅读教学中,探讨其效果。 本文研究发现,通过在英语阅读课上应用批判性阅读策略,不仅提高了学生的英语阅读兴趣,而且也提高了他们的英语阅读能力,说明批判性阅读策略在英语阅读课的应用是可行的。 关键词:批判性阅读策略;高中英语阅读;英语阅读能力 |
