目的论指导下的旅游文本翻译-以扬州旅游景点为例

摘 要


  随着世界经济的全球化和我国旅游业的发展,我国将迎来更多的国外游客。因此,汉英旅游翻译变得越来越重要。由此可见,对旅游景点的正确翻译不仅是宣传中国的最好方法,也是吸引更多游客来中国的有效渠道。旅游文本的翻译是一种跨文化交际行为,目前国内翻译质量参差不齐,这就要求我们面对问题、解决问题,并提出相应的对策和改进措施。这不仅是简单的信息传递,还应该提升与激发游客对旅游景点背后文化的兴趣。
  目的论核心原则是目的原则。目的原则阐述了一切的翻译行为都是由翻译目的而决定的,也就是说“结果决定方法”。译者认为,中文旅游文本的翻译目的在于吸引外国游客,传递中国文化,提升国家形象,从而推动中国的发展,加速国际交流。因此,旅游文本的翻译,应该按照具体情况遵循其目的来进行。在目的论的指导下,文章将实践与理论紧密结合,从文化与语言的角度,充分证明了目的性的可行性以及以扬州园林为例翻译策略和技巧在旅游文本翻译中的运用。

Abstract

  Yangzhou contains a wealth of historical and cultural sites, including Slender West Lake, Ge Yuan, He Yuan, etc., which attracts a large number of tourists to visit every year. With the globalization of the world economy and the development of China's tourism industry, more and more foreign tourists come to enjoy the culture of Yangzhou. Therefore, Chinese-English tourism translation is becoming more and more important. Therefore, the correct translation of tourist attractions is not only the best way to promote China, but also an effective channel to attract more tourists to China. The translation of tourist texts is a kind of cross-cultural communication behavior, but the current translation of tourist attractions is not very satisfactory, which is not conducive to the inheritance and dissemination of Yangzhou culture. This requires us to face the problems, solve the problems, and put forward corresponding countermeasures and improvement measures. This is not only simple information transmission, but also should enhance and stimulate the interest of tourists in the culture behind the tourist attractions.
   The core principle of teleology is the principle of purpose,which states that a translation action is determined by the purpose of translation, that is to say, ‘the result determines the method’. According to the translator, the purpose of translating Chinese tourism texts is to attract foreign tourists, firstly conveying Chinese culture ,secondly enhancing the national image, so as to promote the development of China and accelerate international communication. Thus, the translation of tourism text should be carried out according to the specific situation and its purpose. Under the guidance of Skopos Theory, this paper combines practice with theory, and fully proves the feasibility of Skopos from the perspective of culture and language, as well as the application of translation strategies and skills in tourism text translation with the example of Yangzhou gardens.
