| 传统文明束缚下的反抗----《献给艾米丽的玫瑰花》研究 摘要：美国南北战争是北方资本主义和南方种植园主守旧的封建主义的交锋。新制度必然会带给人们极大的影响。但是封建制度并非会马上消失，而是继续压抑着一些人的思想。为了脱离封建制度，还需要进行反抗和斗争。本课题以著名作家的威廉·福克纳《献给艾米丽的玫瑰花》为研究主体，作品陈述了艾米丽对旧南方种植园社会制度的挽留以及对婚姻的变态性自我追求。在新旧社会交替中，由于父亲的固守让艾米丽感觉压抑，因而产生一种极端的自我保护，甚至为此而产生了杀夫的极端行为，所以成了悲剧。这种独特风格的哥特主义的小说内容真正反映了当时美国南方女性的生活。本课题使用女性主义理论，通过女性主义理论对《献给艾米丽的玫瑰花》进行研究，展示内战后艾米丽所居住的小镇的生活全景，得出艾米丽在男权主宰的社会下，用自己的方法对封建社会的束缚进行反抗。本文希望该研究有助于促进人们对女权主义意识的认识。本研究将让读者反思女性在社会发展中对自由的勇敢追求。 关键词：艾米丽；《献给艾米丽的玫瑰花》；反抗意识 Resistance under the Bondage of Traditional Civilization --- A Brief Analysis on A Rose for Emily Abstract: The American Civil War is a clash between northern capitalism and the old-fashioned feudalism of the planters of the South. The new system is bound to have a great impact on people. But feudalism is not going to disappear any time soon. It continues to oppress some people’s minds. In order to break away from the feudal system, there is still need for resistance and struggle. The subject of this paper is A Rose for Emily written by William Faulkner who is a famous writer. The paper describes Emily’s retention of the social system of the old southern plantation and her abnormal self-pursuit of marriage. In the alternation of the old society and the new society, Emily feels depressed. Because of her father’s persistence, which results in an extreme self-protection. And even it is obvious to lead the extreme behavior of killing her husband, resulting in a tragedy. This unique style of the Gothic novel truly reflects the life of women in the South of the United States at that time. This topic uses feminist theory to study A Rose for Emily, showing the panorama of life in the small town where Emily lives after the Civil War. And it draws the conclusion that Emily resists the shackles of the feudal society with her own methods in the male-dominated society. This paper hopes that the research is helpful to promote the understanding of Feminism consciousness. And this study will give readers a reflection on women’s brave pursuit of freedom in social development. Key words: Emily; A Rose for Emily; Resistance |
