摘要

随着中国的经济和互联网行业的发展，中国企业与外国企业的关系越来越密切。在国际贸易中，对外贸易通信是对外商务活动的主要交流工具，函电的传输方式除了传统的邮寄、电报和传真等方式外，还有其他多种及时沟通的方式等，在日益信息化的社会，商务英语电子邮件的重要性日益凸显。

商务电子函件与传统商务函件有很多不同之处，在信息化的今天，商务电子函件凭借呈现方式简易，传递效率高，内容简洁等优点在跨国商务贸易中占据重要地位。电子商务扩大了贸易主体范围，促进了服务贸易和技术贸易的发展，由此可见，电子商务正在从方方面面影响着跨国贸易，所以我们要好好研究电子商务函电，探究其形成的历史渊源，分析其语言习惯，语言特征，从而更好地在国际商务合作中理解对方，避免一些不必要的麻烦产生。

此外，2020年之前，大部分公司交易往来就已经频繁使用商务电子函件进行商务活动，2020爆发的新冠疫情迫使人们保持安全社交距离，电子函件再一次证明了自己的重要性。

本文将基于Leech的礼貌原则及布朗和列文森的面子理论,以英语商务电子邮件为载体,分析礼貌策略在各种英语商务邮件的使用情况,笔者希望此次研究可以帮助读者总结概括商务英语电子邮件写作中的一些礼貌语言习惯，从而帮助读者更好地进行电子写作，从事国际贸易的外贸业务员们也可以更好地服务于国际贸易。

Abstract

With the development of China's economy and Internet industry, the relationship between Chinese enterprises and foreign enterprises is getting closer and closer. In international trade, foreign trade communication is the main communication tool for foreign business activities. In addition to the traditional mail, telegram and fax, there are many other ways of timely communication, etc. In an increasingly society, the importance of business English E-mail is becoming increasingly prominent.

There are many differences between business correspondence and traditional business correspondence. Nowadays, Business E-mail occupies an important position in transnational business trade by virtue of its advantages of simple presentation, high transmission efficiency and concise content. Electronic commerce expanded trade subject scope, promoting the development of service trade and technology trade, thus, e-commerce is affecting the international trade from all aspects, so it is necessary for us to study electronic business letter, and to explore the historical origin of its formation, analysis of the language habits, language characteristics, to better understand each other in the international business cooperation, only by doing so can we avoid some unnecessary troubles.

In addition, most companies will already be using business email for business transactions before 2020. The COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 will force people to maintain a safe social distance, and email will again prove its importance.

This article based on Leech's politeness principle and brown and levinson's face-saving theory, business E-mail in English as the carrier, analysis of the usage of politeness strategies in a variety of Business English E-mail, I hope that this research can help the reader summary some of polite language habits of Business English E-mail, so as to help they do better in electronic writing, Meanwhile, Foreign trade salesmen engaged in international trade can also skillfully use it to better serve the international trade.
