A Comparative Study of National Identity Education

Abstract:
With the increasing integration of world culture,every country has begun to pay attention to its national identity education. Through the method of literature analysis,this paper makes a comparative analysis ofthe content of national identity education in primary school mother tongue textbooks between China and the United States. It is found that the emphasis of national identity education in the two countries is different.Chinese primary school mother tongue textbooks are more inclined to culturalidentity and geographical identity,while American Primary School mother tongue textbooks are more inclined to identity and political identity education. Through comparison and analysis,we can see the advantages and disadvantages of our country and European and American countries in the treatment of national identity education. When we teach students the relevant content,we can also carry out more diversified identity education in different aspects and cultivate more diversified talents.
