Abstract: Attributive clauses are the most common and frequently-used sentence patterns in English, which are characterized by complexity and variability. Attributive clauses in English translation often increase the difficulty of sentence analysis and understanding. The difference of attributive expression between Chinese and English is great, so mastering the translation skills of attributive clauses will greatlyimprove students’ English ability and help them to cultivate English thinking.This paper aims to summarize and analyze the translation skills of attributive clauses in order to help students learn and translate attributive clauses better,and to combine the translation skills of attributive clauses with the Grammar Translation Methods(GTM), and to put forward some teaching methods that can be applied in grammar teaching.
