英语广告语言的特点分析与翻译策略【英语论文】

【摘要】广告语言是人类文化的积淀和浓缩。有数据表明,广告业的发展呈蓬勃之势,在全球化的推动下形成了一股潮流与趋势。随着广告业的发展,研究广告语言的著作也日益增多,对广告语言的研究有着重要的意义。首先,研究广告语言可以了解一个品牌的历史与企业文化甚至能了解这个国家的底蕴。广告语言同时也反映着各个时期的流行风向和社会文化特点。其次,在翻译广告语的时候可以了解到文化的差异,避免在理解上出现失误。英语广告用语有助于英语语言的学习,可以研究广告语的句式,修辞和用词,有助于学习者对语言的运用与掌握。再次,有效并正确地掌握翻译的方法,有利于学者对语篇的理解,提高整体的翻译水平。由于广告用语在生活中应用很广泛,很灵活,技巧很多,因此,如果学习者能够掌握好广告语言的翻译,他们一定会有所收获。文章将从英语广告的语言特点、修辞手法、现代广告业的发展与特点以及消费者心理层面等角度并结合具体事例进行分析,总结归纳出其对应的翻译策略。

[Abstract] Advertising language is the essence of our culture. Relevant data indicates that advertising is thriving. With the trend coming from the globalization, there is also a growing number of works in this field. The researches of English advertising language are of significance. First, studying advertisements can help people to know about the history and culture of the brand, even the country. Besides, advertisements are the symbol of fashion and social culture during each period of time. Second, translating advertisements is also the process of being aware of the differences of the culture in order to avoid the misconception. Furthermore, by studying the sentences, rhetoric and vocabularies of advertisements, scholars can improve their language skills. Third, to master the translating strategies in a correct and efficient way is of great help to comprehension and translation. Since advertisements are widely used in our daily life and full of skills, scholars can gain lots of knowledge if they can translate them well. This thesis will focus on the features, rhetoric, modern advertisements, consumers and combine examples to summarize the strategies.
