| The Translation Practice of Give Me Your Time under the Guidance of Functional Equivalence Theory Abstract With all aspects of the deeper exchange between the economic globalization and every country, fiction translation has gradually become an important way to spread their culture. Berlin Mason's novel "give me your time" is Chinese sentimental novels published as one of the best-selling. Through the description of emotional experience of hero and heroine in the form of diary, show the modern young people's attitude towards love and marriage. Excerpts from chapter eighteen to chapter twenty of the novel, it is alternated with dialogue and narration in this part with popular humor. Under the guidance of functional equivalence theory, translation and analysis are applied in the selected text. In addition, make the introduction of the theory, including the definition, contents and principles. The practice process pays particular attention to four aspects: conveying the message, conveying the spirit and style of the original, fluency in language, conforming to the specification and practice of translation, and similar reader response. [Key Words] functional equivalence theory; translation skills; literal translation and free translation; substitution 摘 要 随着经济全球化和各国之间各方面交流的不断深入，小说翻译也渐渐成为一种传播本国文化的重要方式。柏林石匠的小说《余生，请多指教》是中国情感小说畅销出版书之一。作者通过日记的形式描述了男女主人公的情感历程，表现了现代年轻人对于爱情和婚姻的态度。节选小说第十九章到第二十章是因为这部分内容对话和插叙穿插，通俗幽默。在功能对等理论指导下，翻译并分析所选文本，并对该理论做出介绍说明，包括其定义，内容和原则。理论运用过程中尤其注重四个方面：传达信息；传达原作的精神和风格；语言顺畅,符合译入语规范和惯例；读者反应类似。在功能对等理论指导下, 如何将错误现象和短词转化为句子, 以及如何合理的省略, 是关键。本研究的主要目的是强调这一理论的重要性, 加强理论与实践的结合。通过列举，运用一定的翻译方法使功能对等理论更完整地体现在小说翻译中。但是，受其他因素影响，在翻译实践中除了采用功能对等理论还需通过增减译法和其他翻译技巧来解决语言背景差异以及语义不对等现象，尽可能传达ST思想，达成意义对等。 [关键词] 功能对等理论；翻译技巧；直译和意译；替换 |
