功能对等理论指导下《台北女孩看大陆》翻译实践

Abstract

With the development of Chinese universities, more and more colleges are going to meet their own glories. Various colleges with their own styles have sprung up, and contemporary college students in China are increasing. However, how to establish the early Chinese university under the special background, and the spirits which creates a university with its own unique characteristics are worthy of our current college students to learn. Additionally, our modern college students should inherit Chinese early students’ pioneering and innovative courage; which is also the reason why the translator choose to do the translation practice.
This translation practice adopts Nida's functional equivalence theory to translate; at the same time, it applies some principles of Nida’s functional equivalence theory in translation. In the period of translation, the translator combines the cultural differences between east and the west, and on the basis of faithfulness, creativity and autonomy, the translator will advertise the Chinese university as purpose to carry out translation work. By the translation practice of the Taipei Girl’s View on Mainland, the translator will give a detailed analysis of the article.
