| Delving the Development of Feminism Thought in Western from Jane Eyre Abstract: The word “feminism” originated from western, then later spread in China at the beginning of 20th century. Although it developed not very fast in China, it became the basis of female’s position. In order to delve the feminism in China deeply, the book called Jane. Eyre will work as a media to analyse it. From the perspective of Jane. Eyre to learn feminism in western, we found that Jane is a representative of new woman, who had the quality of brave, independent, and self- improvement. In order to delve the feminism objectively, there’s some statements or opinions from the scholars who are from home and abroad. Besides, to delve the feminism, we analyse the women’ s status and social environment, some specific cases are also given to prove the phenomenons. More importantly, feminism not only helps China get rid of traditional thoughts, but also improve the female’s position and make the women be their own master. And in the future, female can achieve the real equality in the society. Male and female also can live in a equal and harmonious atmosphere.
