Abstract: Grammar is not only an indispensable part but also the key and difficult point for English learners. There are so many teaching methods in English grammar teaching. The Inductive Approach and The Deductive Approach are the two main methods in teaching English grammar. There exist many differences between them. This paper mainly talked about the definition and development of the two methods and through a comparative study in Han Ma Middle School aimed to find out which method is more suitable   for middle school English grammar teaching.
