The Reflection of Intercultural Communication Competence in English Writing Teaching in High School

Abstract:
In senior high school,cultivating Intercultural Communication Competence in the teaching of English writing is conducive to consolidating students’ basic knowledge and making them master more foreign cultural knowledge; and it is conducive to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive ability. The first part of this paper introduces the definition and significance of cross-cultural communication and Intercultural Communication Competence; the second part analyzes the standards that students should meet in the cross-cultural communication and writing ability according to the English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools (2017 Edition);the third part analyzes the application of Intercultural Communication Competence in the teaching of English writing from three aspects--knowledge ability, cultural sensitivity and awareness; the fourth part puts forward some suggestions for implementing the teaching of intercultural English writing in view of knowledge ability, cultural sensitivity and awareness. Therefore, the application of Intercultural Communication Competence in English writing teaching in senior high school is very helpful to improve students’ writing ability.
