功能对等理视角下英语电影字幕长难句翻译——以《肖申克救赎》为例

摘要:
在全球语境下,电影字幕长难句翻译可看做是一种跨文化交际,优秀的字幕长难句翻译具有艺术性和文化性。因此,功能对等的,高质量的长难句翻译就很有必要。本文以奈达的功能对等理论为基础,以电影《肖申克的救赎》为例,对该电影的字幕长难句翻译进行了具体分析,探究其中的翻译策略,证实了奈达的功能对等理论对电影字幕长难句翻译的指导作用。

Analysis of Translation of English Long and Difficult Sentences in Film Subtitle from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory-Take The Shawshank Redemption as an Example

Abstract:
In the global context, the translation of long and difficult sentences in movie subtitles can be regarded as a kind of cross-cultural communication. The excellent translation of long and difficult sentences in movie subtitles is artistic and cultural.Therefore, it is necessary to translate long and difficult sentences with functional equivalence and high quality. Taking the movie The Shawshank Redemption as an example, this paper analyzes the translation of long and difficult subtitle in the film based on Nida's functional equivalence theory, and tries to explore the translation strategies used in it, proving the guiding role of Nida's functional equivalence theory in the translation of long and difficult sentences in film subtitles.
