| A Comparative Study on the Use of Apology Strategies Between Chinese and American Family Members from Cross-culture Prespective 摘要 道歉作为人们日常生活中不可或缺的言语交流，在不用国家，不同文化中也有着不同的规律，所以再对道歉策略的选择与使用上，也各有差异，从跨文化的角度比较研究中美家庭成员道歉策略的使用，有着十分重要的社会意义和现实意义。 本文分别从道歉策略的定义分类，中美家庭成员选择道歉策略的跨文化研究和道歉策略使用的意义，这三个方面来分析跨文化视角下中美家庭成员选择道歉策略的原因与意义。不同的文化背景下对道歉策略的使用有着不同的影响，在高语境文化的中国，人们更倾向于补偿性道歉，而在低语境文化的美国则更偏向于直接道歉。最后本文分析了选择不同道歉策略有着不同的作用。 关键词：道歉策略；中美家庭成员；文化差异；比较研究 Abstract Apology, as an essential part of people daily life of speech communication,in different countries, different cultures also has different rules,so the selection of apology strategies and use again, also vary,from the perspective of cross-cultural comparative study on Chinese and American family members, the use of apology strategies, has very important social significance and realistic significance. This paper analyzes the reasons and significance of Chinese and American family members' choice of apology strategy from three aspects: the definition and classification ofapology strategy, the cross-cultural research on the choice of apology strategy by Chinese and American family members and the significance of the use of apology strategy. Different cultural backgrounds have different influences on the use of apology strategies. In high-context China, people are more inclined to make compensatory apology,while in low-context America, people are more inclined to make direct apology.
