A Study On the Cultivation of Primary School Students’ Motivation and Interest in English Learning Abstract With the rapid development of science and technology in our country, English education in primary schools has become very important. The "people-oriented" educational thought of "human-oriented" in the "New Curriculum Standards" has permeated every aspect of English teaching in primary schools. In this context, we began to pay attention to the affective factors on the language learning of primary school students, we will mainly from the perspective of educators to explore its important influence. As we all know, in all factors that affect learners learning, affective factors play an important role. However, motivation and interest are two key factors of affective factor. Therefore, cultivating students' interest in English learning and establishing the correct motivation for learning will play an important role in English learning for primary school students. Primary school students 'interests and internal motivation directly affect pupils' academic performance, while external motivation has no obvious effect on pupils. Therefore, to motivate pupils to learn motivation and interest in learning, teachers should let the atmosphere in class alive. Teachers should integrate games, songs, animations and other forms that primary school students love to classroom teaching. The combination of classroom and games, combined with the lessons in class, teachers and schools, together with parents to promote students' interest in English learning.
