| A Study on Rhetoric and Translation Strategies of English Proverbs [Abstract] English proverbs are the treasures of language and literature that condense the essence of English and the crystallization of national wisdom. From the perspective of proverbs culture theory, this paper studies the factors that affect proverbs, historical culture in a different periods, religious beliefs, and other factors closely related to the translation of proverbs. And summarize the rhetorical techniques used in proverbs and explore translation strategies. The adoption of literature research plays an auxiliary role in the rhetorical technique and translation strategies of proverbs.
