乡镇初中生英语阅读兴趣的调查研究-以核桃园中学为例

摘 要


教学活动是实现教育目标的有效途径,有效激发学生阅读兴趣是提高英语阅读教学质量的有力保障。兴趣是学生学习的内在动力,只有伴随着兴趣,学习的动机才会持久,学习的积极性和效率才有可能提高。

尽管当前国内外学者对阅读教学的研究成果日益增多,但收效甚微。大多数学生依然只是机械乏味的阅读,被动的完成教师给的阅读任务,不会自觉的定时阅读一些课外材料。中学阶段正是培养学生英语学习兴趣的关键时期,但在应试教育的影响下乡镇初中的教师仍然采用传统的灌输式教学,学生被动机械的接受知识和技能,学生在学习中的主体地位和对语言的综合运用能力难以培养和提高。因此,学生在学习中对英语阅读越来越不感兴趣,部分学生甚至对英语学科产生了厌恶的心理,直接影响到学生的学习成绩。

针对此种现象,本文以理论研究为基础,结合教学实践活动,采用调查问卷的方法,对乡镇初中生英语阅读学习的兴趣进行研究并提出一些切合实际的解决策略。

Abstract

Teaching activities are an effective way to achieve educational goals.To improve the quality of English reading teaching teachers must stimulate students' interest.Interest is an intrinsic motivation for students' learning.It is only when accompanied by interest that learning motivation will endure and efficiency will be improved.

Despite the increasing number of research findings on reading teaching and learning by scholars at home and abroad, the results have been minimal. Most of the students just read mechanically and tediously,they are only passively complete the reading tasks given by teachers and do not consciously read some extra-curricular materials regularly. Middle school is a crucial period for cultivating students' interest in learning English,but under the influence of exam-oriented education,teachers have used traditional indoctrination teaching method in township middle schools, students accept knowledge and skills passively and mechanically. It is difficult to develop and improve students' subjectivity inlearning and their ability to use language in an integrated way. As a result, students are becoming less and less interested in English reading, and some of them have even developed an aversion toEnglish, which directly affects their academic performance.

In view of this phenomenon, this paper is based on theoretical research and combinedwith teaching practice, adopts the method of questionnaire to study the strategiesfor cultivating the interest of English reading learning among middle school students in townships and to propose some practical strategies to solve the problems.
