马克吐温笔下的儿童形象刻画研究

—以《汤姆·索亚历险记》和《哈克贝利·费恩历险记》为例


Abstract

As the founder of American critical realism literature, Mark Twain’s two children’s works,The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, in these two novels,the author uses a great deal of sarcasm, contrast and colloquial style with American characteristics. Draw support from a series of writing techniques,these two works act out the hypocrisy of the school education form and the stereotype of the society at that time. And on this basis, he completed his pursuit of spiritual freedom and got rid of a variety of shackles of reality, presented a completely independent character image free from any constraints. The thesis aims to make a profound study of Mark Twain’s Two Adventures through the above aspects, analyze the author’s writing techniques,and dissect the images of children as well as their historical and practical significance what they have implicated in the Two Adventures. For this reason, read through Mark Twain’s two works and a large number of relevant literature at first, through careful screening and comparison,to obtain the theme of this thesis,such theme should belong to a minority and an individual case of literary works of the same kind, but the value of thinking should have a certain space.

摘要

作为美国批判现实主义文学的奠基人,马克吐温的两部儿童作品:《汤姆·索亚历险记》和《哈克贝利·费恩历险记》中,作者运用大量的讽刺,对比,和极具美国特色的方言体,借助系列的写作手法,作品表现出当时学校教育形式的虚伪和社会的刻板陈腐。并在此基础上完成个人对精神上的自由的追求,摆脱现实的种种束缚,呈现出一种不受任何约束和完全独立的人物形象。本文旨在通过以上涉及的方面,对马克吐温的两部儿童作品深入研究,分析作者的写作手法,剖析两部作品中的儿童形象以及其蕴含的历史意义及现实意义。为此,先通读马克吐温的这两部作品,阅读大量有关文献,经过仔细筛选和对比,获得此次创作主题,此类创作应属同类文学作品中的少数和个例,但它所带来的思考价值应该是有一定的空间的。
