| 《画窗》第一章第二章翻译实践报告 Abstract This is a report on translation of a novella named Painted Windows, which was written by Elia Wilkinson Peattie, an American writer. The novel focuses on the story of the author himself through his memories of childhood—night, loneliness, friendship, fame, remorse, travel, so that his inner self regains peace. The article is divided into six chapters and this article mainly translates the first two: night and lonely. Based on Vermeer's skopostheory, this paper analyzes and summarizes the problems in the translation practice and the difficulties encountered, and discussed a few translation methods including literal translation, anastrophe,, translation, and omission.
