英汉恭维语对比研究


摘要

在人类的言语交际中,恭维是一种运用频率较高的积极的言语交际行为,是交际的“润滑剂”。本文主要通过总结国内外对英汉恭维语及其答语的研究成果,结合文学作品如小说及电影中的恭维现象,以合作原则和礼貌原则为指导,从恭维话题、恭维答语以及制约因素三个方面对英汉恭维语进行比较,并分析其内在文化因素的异同,旨在寻找在不同文化背景下如何恰当的给予和接受恭维语的有效途径。

关键词:恭维语;恭维应答;对比研究

Abstract

In human speech communication,compliment is a kind of active speech communication behavior with high frequency, and it is the "lubricant" of communication .This paper mainly summarizes the research results of compliments and their responses in English and Chinese at home and abroad, combined with the compliment phenomenon in literary works such as novels and movies,guided by the cooperative principle and politeness principle,compares English and Chinese compliments from three aspects of compliment topics, compliment answers and constraints, and analyzes the similarities and differences of their internal cultural factors, so as to find out the similarities and differences in different cultural backgrounds.
